ABOUT BOOKINGS:

How to book a tour?

Click on the “Book Now!” button and complete the Booking Form. We will contact you by email with instructions for payment of the Booking Fee as soon as possible.
The booking is confirmed only upon proof of payment of the Fee.

How much time in advance do I need to book a tour?

At least 24 hours before your preferred date.

How much is the Booking Fee?

The Booking Fee is of 50% of the Total Amount of the tour.
As the Total Amount varies according to the number of people in your group, you can check this information on the email we will send with the payment instructions.

What are my payment options?

The Booking Fee is paid by PayPal, which accepts all credit cards.

The remaining amount is paid in cash, directly to the tour guide, on the day of the tour. We accept US Dollars or Euros.
If you wish to pay on credit card on the day, we ask that you let us know beforehand!

Keep in mind that a credit card transaction fee may be added to the total amount.
Also, please note that, at the moment, we accept only Brazilian Reais, and the amount paid by credit card is converted to your local currency according to the exchange rate.

I'd like a discount! Is that possible?

We offer discounts for large groups (4 or more people) or for packages (3 or more tours for the same group).

I've changed my mind and want to do another tour. Is that possible?

With the exception of Expeditions, it is possible to change the chosen tour up to 3 days before the booked date.
Please contact us as soon as possible if any changes are required.

Can I change the date after booking?

You can change the date up to 3 days before the tour date in case of Sightseeing, Hiking, and Adventure tours, or up to 30 days before the start date in case of Expeditions (except international expeditions).
Please contact us as soon as possible if you’d like to make any changes to your Booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

I won't be able to go on the tour. Can I cancel it?

The Booking may be canceled by:
– Sightseeing, Hiking, and Adventure Tours: up to 7 days before the tour date;
– Expeditions: up to 30 days before the start date of the expedition.

After this period, there is no refund of the Booking Fee.
The Booking Fee is also not refunded in case of no-show.

ABOUT TOURS:

On which days are the tours available?

We have daily departures for Sightseeing, Hiking, and Adventure tours.
For Expeditions in the state of Rio de Janeiro, we will try to accommodate your preferred date and arrange the days accordingly.
International expeditions have pre-scheduled dates and cannot be changed.

What is included in the tours? And what isn't?

Check this information on your tour page in the “Included” and “Not Included” sections.

Is transport included?

Round-trip transportation is included on most tours, except for Sea Kayaking, River Rafting, Pedra da Gávea Hike, and Sugarloaf Hike.
For these tours, we offer the inclusion of transport at different prices – you can check these amounts on the tour page. If you want to include it, select this option in the Booking Form and enter the address of your accommodation.

What is Adventure Insurance?

Any ecotourism activity has its risks – whether it’s minor scratches, insect bites, or a fall. The Adventure Insurance is a protection for you to enjoy our tours safely and responsibly!
In partnership with Roca Seguros, we issue this Adventure Insurance for all our Hiking and Adventure tours, as well as Expeditions. For Sightseeing tours, it is optional.

What is the minimum group size?

Most of our tours require a minimum of 2 people, with the exception of the Private Tour.
We offer discounts for groups of 4 or more people.

I am traveling to Rio de Janeiro alone. Can I participate in the tours?

Yes! Click here and fill in the form, and we will try to allocate you into one of the groups already scheduled in our calendar.

If you wish to do a tour by yourself, and not join any group, let us know in this same form, in the “Message” field. However, please be aware that, in this case, there is an increase of 50% to 100% of the tour price.

We also offer the option of the Private Tour – a customized tour where you choose an itinerary among the Sightseeing tours already available, and may also add other attractions not listed on the website. For this tour, we do not have a minimum group required, so you can do it by yourself!

Please note that Hiking and Adventure tours, as well as Expeditions, are not included in the Private Tour.

Can I do more than one tour in a day, or arrange a multi-tour package?

Yes! Please contact us, informing which tours you are interested in, the number of people in your group, and the dates of preference, and we will do our best to arrange your package.
We offer discounts for groups of 4 or more people, or for packages of 3 or more tours for the same group.

I'm under 18. Can I join the tours?

Yes! But you must have the written permission of the parents or guardians, who must also be with you during the tour.

Children under the age of 18 cannot participate in Expeditions.

GENERAL QUESTIONS:

What should I wear and take on the tours?

You can find this information in the description of each tour, in the “We Recommend” section.

How physically fit do I have to be to do these tours?

Depends on the tour! We offer tours with various levels of difficulty, from easy hiking to very difficult climbs. Difficulty levels are specified in the description of each tour – check before deciding on your activity.

Tours classified as moderate and difficult are not suitable for children.

None of the tours are recommended for people with history of heart or lung disease.

What happens when it rains?

All tours are held outdoors, therefore, subject to weather conditions. If the tour guide finds it necessary to cancel the tour due to force majeure or adverse weather conditions, they will do so with your safety and physical integrity in mind. In this case, you may reschedule the tour, or, if this is not possible, request a refund of the amount paid or convert it into credit that can be used on other tours.

I couldn't find the tour I wanted on the website. Can you do it?

Absolutely! Please contact us, informing which tour you want, the number of people in your group, and the preferred date, and we will do our best to make it happen!
