Located in the Urca neighborhood, the largest urban climbing complex in the world, the Sugarloaf is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro. But did you know that it is possible to see this landmark from a unique point of view? We offer exactly that: instead of taking the famous cable car to reach the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain, hike on this challenging trail! The effort is worth it, as from the top of its 396 meters, we can see Christ The Redeemer, Copacabana Beach and Guanabara Bay, among others.
OUR TOUR
This 3-hour hike requires a bit of rock climbing, but don’t worry, we offer all the necessary safety equipment! After resting on the Sugarloaf Mountain’s summit, we will take the cable car down to Urca Hill and walk to the Red Beach (Praia Vermelha).
ITINERARY
