Located at the Pedra Branca State Park in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Pedra do Telégrafo (Telegraph’s Rock) offers one of the most beautiful and diverse views of the Marvelous City. From the top of its 354 meters, we can see the Tijuca Forest, the beaches of Grumari, Recreio and Barra da Tijuca, and Restinga da Marambaia, an area of preserved nature. Used in World War II as an observation post, the Telégrafo became famous because of the photos taken by visitors, who have fun posing on a “cliff” that is far from dangerous – it is actually a huge pointed rock that, thanks to the photo’s angle, gives the impression of being in an abyss. For sure, the best picture of your trip!
